COLD PROCESS SOAPMAKING WORKSHOP

In this class, you will learn how to make soap from scratch using plant-based ingredients. Design and create your own batch of soap to take home (which equates to up to 10 bars when cut).

You will get to take home a handout with instructions, 1 wooden soap mold with silicone liner, protective goggles, soap cutter, ready-to-use soap bar,  and of course the batch of soap made in class.

The class will cover the following:

• Necessary materials, supplies, equipment
• Safety consideration when working with lye
• Taking proper measurements
• Scenting your soap
• Coloring soap with natural herbs, spices, or clay
• Cutting, curing, storing your soap
